Before you change the setup
Identify the exact organizer, event type, public link, and time zone involved before editing anything. Save the current behavior or take a screenshot so the test has a reliable before-and-after comparison.
How to complete this task
- Open the unique management link from the booking confirmation.Start with the intended outcome and the record that controls it.
- Review the meeting identity and current local time before changing it.Review every related setting before saving so one rule does not mask another.
- Cancel the reservation so the old slot becomes available.Keep private data and guest-facing information clearly separated.
- Return through the booking page if a new time is required.Complete the same path an external participant will use.
Verify the participant result
Run one successful case and one edge case. Confirm the public title, local time, available choices, duration, location, confirmation, calendar file, and private management path as applicable. Then check the organizer view and any email delivery record. A saved setting is not proof that the scheduling lifecycle worked.
Troubleshoot cancel or reschedule a booking
These are the failures reported most often for this specific task, with the cause that explains each one.
The invitee lost the management link.
It is unique and private, and it only exists in the original confirmation. If it cannot be found, cancel from the organizer side and issue a new booking.
The old slot did not reopen after cancelling.
Confirm the cancellation completed rather than the page merely closing. A released slot reappears on the public booking page immediately.
Rescheduling created a duplicate meeting.
Cancel first so the original slot is released, then rebook. Booking a new time without cancelling leaves two live reservations.
